Taekwondo Olympic Gold Medalist vs Shaolin Monk

The secret weapon of the Shaolin monk is certainly not like the beautiful
kicks of the Taekwando champion.

The real secret weapon of the Shaolin monk is his ability to take severe punches and kicks that would KO a normal person. After taking all the nasty blows, the monk then makes a comeback to KO the Taekwando champ.

Wing Chun
Just to clarify somethings, each martial art work in a specific way, and you can't judge a martial art by someone who practice it, even shaolin or kung fu or wing chun or jkd or tai chi have some feeble practicing, many people do tkd and compare with other martial arts fight where tkd is made look like a bullshit.

a lot of tkd is best utilized with a lot of movement, being able to move in and out of range all while circling your opponent to find a better angle of attack.

This, in my personal experience(i do itf), is the best way to use tkd in a match. the martial art's speed leans toward unpredicability, and if one does not move constantly and often, it is likely that one will be beaten down with low kicks, superior hand skills, and pure strength.

I believe this is the reason why the tkd gold medalist lost, though i cannot claim to know empirically since WTF tkd differs so significantly from ITF
