USA: Lexus unveils LF-1 with onboard 360 camera view at NAIAS

Lexus unveiled their new LF-1 model to a packed audience at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on Monday,
boasting a revolutionary 360 degrees on-board camera display view designed to replace car mirrors.
Lexus Division Group Vice President and General Manager Jeff Bracken explained: "Instead of side-mirrors, small cameras are incorporated. And get this - those cameras, well they can display multiple high definition images. In a wide angle view and in blind spots to help when you're changing lanes, parking or reversing.
" The car will also feature an on-board super computer that will possess map and radar data, as well as suggest restaurants, fuel breaks and hotel rooms to its driver. Lexus have promised to maintain value with their new LS range of vehicles, setting their starting price at $75,000 (€61,102) for that range.
